Ellie is an anchor, producer and writer specializing in business and finance through engaging content that has empowered thousands of people to take control of their financial lives. Ellie is lawyer-turned-journalist working in three languages (English, Spanish, Greek) and five countries. Ellie works in three languages – English, Spanish, Greek – and holds diverse roles: correspondent, anchor, supervising producer, writer, and professor of journalism. Her experience includes everything from covering the Greek economic crisis on the ground in Athens, to penning an investing column on Wall Street, to hosting a financial literacy show on MarketWatch and the Wall Street Journal video center.


Ellie is currently the host of Explainomics, a financial literacy series on MarketWatch and the Wall Street Journal video center. The series teaches everyday people to empower themselves financially and take control of their money. It has aired in 19 U.S. local broadcast markets and has also been translated into Spanish and Mandarin.
